UNINSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS
If you have any previous version of Visual Studio installed, we recommend uninstalling it before installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise to avoid conflicts.
CHECK INTERNET CONNECTION
Make sure you have a stable Internet connection during download, installation, and activation.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Ensure your Windows system is up to date before starting the installation process.
Installation guide
Step 1 – Run the Installer
Open your Downloads folder and double-click the VisualStudioSetup file.
Step 2 – Allow Changes
When prompted by Windows User Account Control, click Yes.
Step 3 – Continue Installation Setup
In the Visual Studio Installer window, click Continue.
Step 4 – Wait for Installer Preparation
Please wait while the installer downloads and prepares the required components.
Step 5 – Select Workloads and Install
Select the workloads you need (for example: .NET desktop development, ASP.NET, Azure development, etc.).
Then click Install.
Step 6 – Installation in Progress
Please wait while Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 downloads and installs. This may take several minutes depending on your internet speed.
Step 7 – Done Installing
Once the installation is complete, you will see the message Done installing.
Click OK to finish the installation process.
Installation Complete
Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise is now successfully installed on your computer.
Activation guide
Step 1 – Launch Visual Studio
Open the Visual Studio Installer and click Launch.
Step 2 – Skip Sign In (Optional)
You may sign in with a Microsoft or GitHub account, or click Skip and add accounts later.
Step 3 – Continue Without Code
On the start screen, click Continue without code.
Step 4 – Open Account Settings
Click File in the top-left corner, then select Account Settings.
Step 5 – Unlock with a Product Key
Under License information, click Unlock with a Product Key.
Step 6 – Enter the Product Key
Enter your 25-character product key and click Apply.
To avoid typing errors, we recommend copying and pasting the product key from your email.
Step 7 – Accept Additional Licenses (If Prompted)
If prompted to accept additional components (such as Android SDK License Agreement), click Accept.
Step 8 – Activation Confirmation
After applying the key, you will see the message License: Product key applied.
Activation Complete
Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise is now fully activated and ready to use.
